Catalina Curtain Company, Inc. was founded on the principle
of creating products using evidence-based design to enhance
the healing process and healthcare environment.
Forty-years of research establishes that
viewing nature scenes lowers stress and anxiety, reduces pain
medication intake, and leads to shorter hospital stays.
In 2002, responding to these research
findings, the Company introduced the Sereneview® hospital
privacy curtain featuring nature scenes. Recipient of the
prestigious Nightingale Award for Most
Innovative New Product from The
Center For Healthcare Design, our privacy curtain
is now utilized in over three-hundred healthcare facilities
nationwide.
Today the company offers scenic ceiling
tiles & lighting overheads, lightboxes, acuostic wall panels,
and wall murals that complement our privacy curtains with
nature scenes. Other products are in development using the
same theme.
We have formed Partnerships with companies
and organizations that believe "a healing environment
