The PACU Supervisor for
Sutter
Medical Center of Santa Rosa had seen the Sereneview®
curtains at an AORN Congress and wanted to buy the curtains
for the Recovery room. His objective was to exercise his training
with guided imagery to affect a positive outcome with patients.
He has accomplished and exceeded expectations from both
patient's and staff. Patient satisfaction scores are up and
staff morale is also up. People like him are the visionaries
or advocates for changing the status quo for the better of
everyone. As others look to visionaries for direction, they
are the one's leading the charge for more "patient-centered
care" facilities.
